Tamecia Jones Research Coordinator

Tamecia Jones was born in southern Virginia. She attended The Johns Hopkins University (MD), where she received a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After seeing the need for math and science education empowerment of youth, she went to Stanford University (CA) and received a Master of Arts in Learning, Design, and Technology. She moved to Boston to work in the educational field as a curriculum developer, multimedia designer, researcher, and most recently, a middle school math and science teacher. She has been working with youth in various capacities since college, and is now in pursuit of a Master of Divinity degree at Boston University. She is on the ministerial staff at Bethel AME Church, and in pursuit of ordination in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
