The neXus Library
The nexus library exists to be a consistent and evolving resource for Youth Workers in the city of Boston. We use the library as a means to provide the latest books, literature, manuals, and other varying media that can assist in transformative youth work. We are constantly growing what we have on file as people have and may continue to make requests for what they desire to read/use. We allow youth workers to check out our materials and even use them for a substantial amount of time.
If there is a certain book you would like to read or if you know of a great book that we should have in our collection, please let us know. E-mail us the title of the book and author (edition if necessary) and your contact information; we will let you know as soon as it comes in!
So far, our list is pretty comprehensive. We have books, CDs, DVDs, Audio Tapes, Journals, Pamphlets, Workbooks, and even Toolkits. Within our cabinets (pictured to the left), we have a topical index of categories with newspaper articles and research studies that have been conducted all over the world. We have collected those findings and placed them in categories from Abortion and Affirmative Action to Tattoos and Welfare. This library is a vital tool for youth ministry as our job is not the easiest. However, our desire is to collect as many tools as necessary to make the youth work that you do transformative for you and the youth you work with!
